5th October - Leonard died 40 years ago today. A fantastic new article charting his career along with video clips and new remembrances can be read on The Guardian web site here.

2023

July - The new issue of Scenes magazine has a feature on Leonard and also Jonathan Lynn (who directed him in Loot). Buy it here.

2022

December - Updated TV: 1980s, Radio & Film pages.

September - The BBC is producing a two-part adaptation of David Nobbs' 'The Fall & Rise of Reginald Perrin', starring David Haig as Reggie. The two one-hour episodes will be broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on November 13th and 20th, and will be subsequently available on BBC iPlayer. Article.

August - Leonard's first wife, actress Josephine Tewson, died on August 18th, aged 91. They were married from 1958 to 1961. Obituary.

April: Rising Damp's creator, Eric Chappell, died on April 21st, aged 88. You can read obituaries and news reports of his death here, here, here, here and here

December: Leonard graces the cover of the December issue of The Oldie magazine. Out now. (Cover.) Series creator Eric Chappell remembers Rising Damp and its performers.
